Lara Sunday

January 22, 2010 · Leave a Comment

We all dreamt of a white christmas – but when everything was still covered in snow by new year the novelty value started to wear off. Always the optimist though I decided that snow may be cold but it is pretty and got to thinking how to make the most of it! So we braved the cold to do a promo shoot for the stunning Lara Sunday who is currently writing her debut album. I’ve heard a little bit of the work so far and trust me to say she’s a great singer would be an understatement!!  My toes have finally defrosted and here are a couple of the pics…

the end of the decade!!

December 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Well 2009 has been a busy year for me – I decided to do a wee run down of some of my favourite shots of the year and its brought back so many good memories of the year!!  I’ve shot bands I’ve always dreamed off, worked with so many class people, travelled to festivals and seen some amazing shows, some of these shots  you’ll have seen before others you might not have! Thanks to everyone who I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year and here’s to 2010 being a great year for all of us!

My 2009 ….

I have always wanted to shoot ACDC they are one of my favourite bands ever so getting the chance to shoot their Dublin Date for Hot Press was a dream come true – made even better by this picture making it into Hot Press’ top photos of the decade in their annual out now!

Then there was Download festival which I shot at for Kerrang this year – giving me the chance to shoot someone I’ve wanted to since I was a gothy teen  – Marilyn Manson – and also to snap some of the most hilarious characters I’ve ever met – it was an amazing weekend topped off my shooting Steel Panther – one of my fave bans of the year!

Extras needed for major photoshoot!

December 15, 2009 · 4 Comments

Hey Everyone

We need your help!! Male and female extras aged 16-30 required for photoshoot in Belfast on Dec 22nd – exact times and locations to be confirmed in advance of the shoot.

We will need you to be available for the afternoon of the 22nd and the shoot will probably take around 2 hours. Those chosen will be notified by email as soon as we have made the final selection.

Please note this is not paid work so we’re asking you to be legends and help us out. We can’t cover expenses either I’m afraid but it will give you the chance to take part in a photoshoot for a major local band that will be used for international promotion of their new album! All extras will need to sign a model release to take part so nobody under 16 I’m afraid. Don’t be shy we need a good few folk so the more the merrier – spread the word if you can!

So if you’re up for it and can spare a couple of hours that day please email photos@carriedavenport.com with your name, age, clothes size (not being nosey but we may need you to wear certain tshirts which will be provided so we need sizes and then hopefully you get to keep the tshirt as a wee souvenir) and a recent photograph of yourself (full or three quarter length preferably).

and to put you all out of suspense its for ASIWYFA!! I picked the location today so just waiting on final confirmation but its near the city centre probable call time 11am!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I need everyone to let me know if they plan on coming and not just turn up as we only have a certain amount of places/tshirts so email me

thanks loads

Carrie
