Stop the killing in Gaza

AS the violence continues in Gaza people in Belfast have been protesting across the country – this protest was on the Oldpark Road this afternoon and despite the miserable weather a lot of people still turned up to show their support

Johnny Foreigner

Slightly different take on this today – was going through some old shots looking for something to send off to someone and discovered this one so thought I’d share it with you – its from the Johnny Foreigner JD Set in Belfast last year and seeing as the JD Sets are kicking off again it seemed suitable! I don’t do a lot of black and white photography at gigs as I think colour captures the lighting and atmosphere better but this is still one of my fave shots from last year!

The Sun ran my photos of Zoe Salmon today with the healdine – “Looks like Zoe’s fallen in glove!” you gotta love that! They also appeared in the Daily Star so consider me well chuffed!

Zoe Salmon with the Belfast Giants

Did a photo call for Big Pictures today in the Odyssey with Zoe SAlmon and the Belfast GIants – tell ya what they make ice skating look way easier than I reckon it is :) check out bigpictures.co.uk to see the full shoot.

Irish Dancing

Had to shoot a portrait of Máire Bean Uí Bhrudair  (try saying that ten times quickly!!) today as she is setting up an exhibition to celebrate 40years teaching Irish dancing.  Seeing as she first started teaching in 1969 and all the old photos she had were from the 70s I decided to get these in the photos and to keep the tones almost sepiea like older faded photos.
